Who Gave You a Decree to Build This House and Finish the Structure?

Not many people want to see you rise, but rise anyway.
There comes a time in life when you begin building something that doesn’t yet exist in your bloodline, your neighbourhood, or even your circle. A vision begins to form. Maybe it’s a business. Maybe it’s healing. Maybe it’s simply becoming whole again. But as soon as you start laying the first bricks, questions come.
“Who gave you permission?”
“What makes you think you can do this?”
“Why now?”
It’s the same question that was asked in Ezra 5:3, “Who gave you a decree to build this house and finish the structure?” It’s the question people ask when they can’t see what you see. When your boldness challenges their comfort. When your rise reminds them of their stagnation.
But here’s the truth:
You don’t need their decree. You already have God’s.
You were called, anointed, and chosen to build even when the terrain is rough. Even when the support is low. Even when the whispers get loud. The structure you’re raising isn’t just about walls and roofs; legacy, freedom, and restoration.
Some people won’t want you to rise, not because you’re wrong, but because your rising highlights where they’ve stayed low. And that’s not your burden to carry.
They tried to silence you.
Shame you.
Break you.
But God said: Rise.
So I rise.
Not everyone wants you to heal.
But heal anyway.
Build anyway.
Finish anyway.
So today, ask yourself:
• Am I building for applause or obedience?
• Am I waiting for permission, or walking in purpose?
• Am I shrinking to be accepted, or expanding to fulfil the call?
Keep building. Keep rising. Keep finishing.
The blueprint was never meant for them to understand. But the house? The house will speak for itself.
