When It Starts to Grow Again

Sometimes, one quiet sentence can hold more hope than a whole chapter.
I came across a verse that stopped me mid-scroll. It’s from a story in the Bible about a man named Samson. You don’t need to know everything about him, but here’s the part that moved me:
Judges 16:22
“But the hair on his head began to grow again…”
He was at rock bottom, betrayed, blinded, and bound.
The strongest man had been brought low.
The one anointed by God was mocked and humiliated.
It seemed that his story was over.
But heaven wasn’t done.
Before the breakthrough, before the final victory, before he would stand again, God let something begin to grow.
The Beginning of a Comeback Is Often Quiet
Maybe no one noticed it at first.
Maybe even Samson didn’t realise it.
But the symbol of his strength, his hair, was silently growing again.
That speaks to me, and maybe it speaks to you, too.
Because if you’ve been in a season of loss, failure, or deep pain…
If you’ve been betrayed, left broken, or had your identity stripped…
And you wonder, “Can I ever rise again?”
Let me tell you: Yes, you can.
It might not look like a miracle right now.
It might feel small, quiet, even invisible.
But something is growing.
Your Strength Is Not Gone, It’s Being Rebuilt
Samson’s strength didn’t come from his hair.
It came from the Spirit of God that never gave up on him.
The hair was a sign a symbol that God wasn’t finished.
Maybe your hope is growing again.
Maybe your voice is returning.
Maybe your vision for the future is stirring.
That quiet regrowth is proof:
God still has a plan.

You might not feel strong yet.
You might still feel blind, hurt, or held down.
But don’t mistake this moment for your end.
Something is growing again.
And when the time comes, you will rise and reclaim everything hell tried to steal.
Just like Samson.
