When Goodness Costs You

Sometimes, the goodness in your heart goes unnoticed.
You give, care, and stay kind even when no one claps for it.
It can feel unfair. Heavy. Costly.
But there is one who never misses the hidden things.
Who weighs not just actions, but intentions.
Who searches the heart and honours what others overlook.
This kind of goodness doesn’t always feel rewarded. It can feel like you’re the one always losing and constantly bleeding for someone else’s healing.
But the Lord sees. He searches the heart. He weighs what no one else can see. And His reward is not missed, even when people don’t notice.
It takes strength to stay good in a world that feels unfair.
To remain kind in a culture of payback. To choose care when you were treated like nothing.
That kind of heart?
God doesn’t overlook it. He honours it.
So if you’re tired of being the ‘bigger person,’ or wondering if your goodness is worth it, know this! It’s not weakness. It’s weighty. It’s sacred. It’s seen.
