The Promise is sure, even with Giants on it

The fact that there are giants in the land does not mean God hasn’t given it to you.”

When God gives you a promise, a vision, or an instruction, we often expect the path to be smooth or at least clear. But what happens when you step out in obedience… and immediately face resistance? What if the land God said is yours is already occupied by giants?

That doesn’t mean you missed it. It means you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Numbers 13: The Land Was Good and Full of Giants

God told Moses to send twelve men to spy out the land He had promised. They came back saying, “Yes, it’s everything God said it’s flowing with milk and honey.” But then came the fear report:

“We saw the giants… and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight.”

(Numbers 13:33)

Ten spies looked at the size of the enemy and assumed the promise was off the table.

But Joshua and Caleb saw through the lens of faith. They said:

“If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us.”

(Numbers 14:8)

Same land. Same giants. Different spirit.

Giants Don’t Disqualify the Land, They Confirm It

What if the resistance you’re facing isn't a sign to back off, but a sign to push forward?

• Giants don’t occupy empty places.

• Spiritual warfare doesn’t show up for things that don’t matter.

• Fear and intimidation only show up at the gates of purpose.

The size of your opposition often reveals the weight of your assignment.

Your Promise Still Stands Even If You Have to Fight For It

God told Israel: “I have given you the land.”

But they still had to:

• Walk in

• Drive out enemies

• Obey in the face of fear

God’s promise doesn’t equal automatic possession; it often requires obedience, courage, and endurance.

So let me ask you:

What has God told you is yours, but the presence of giants made you second-guess?

• A calling you’ve delayed because of fear?

• A business, ministry, or creative idea you dropped at the first sign of resistance?

• A relationship or healing you’ve stopped praying for?

Don’t Let Giants Intimidate You Out of Inheritance

You can be right at the edge of destiny and walk away if fear gets louder than faith.

Caleb didn’t let the size of the enemy define the size of his God.

Neither should you.

“We are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30)

A Prayer for Bold Possession

Lord, I thank You for every promise You’ve spoken over my life.

Please help me not to retreat at the first sign of resistance.

I reject fear, and I renounce every lie that tells me I’m too small or too late.

Giants may be in the land, but the land is still mine because you gave it.

I step forward in faith, not by sight. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“The presence of giants doesn’t mean the promise is void. It means the land is valuable.”

This is your season to rise, not retreat.

The giants may be big, but your God is bigger.
