The Only Thing That Can Stop You Is You

ree

There is a place with your name on it, prepared, appointed, and ordained by God. Not a fantasy. Not a possibility. A promise.

God spoke this clearly in Exodus 23:20:

“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”

Let that settle in your spirit:

There is a place.

It is prepared.

You have divine help to get there.

But whether you arrive… depends on you.

The Angel Is Sent. The Place Is Ready. Your Obedience Is the Key.

God’s plan was never for His people to wander endlessly. The wilderness was never the destination; it was only a passageway. A refining ground. And while they journeyed, God sent an angel, a heavenly guide to lead, guard, and ensure they arrived at the place He prepared.

But then God said something sobering:

“Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him… since my Name is in him.”

(Exodus 23:21)

Translation? You can still miss the prepared place if you do not obey.

And that truth still stands today.

The Promise Is Guaranteed. The Outcome Is Not.

Here’s the tension:

• The promise is certain.

• The Helper (Holy Spirit, divine guidance, favor, angelic assistance) is guaranteed.

• But the only thing that can derail it… is you.

Your fear.

Your resistance.

Your disobedience.

You're clinging to what God already told you to leave.

This is not about earning the promise. It’s about aligning with it.

The Modern Wilderness: When We Block Ourselves

Many of us are stuck not because God didn’t show up, but because we didn’t move when He said move. We ignored the signs. We argued with His methods. We questioned the timing. We leaned on our understanding, and then wondered why the breakthrough stalled.

But the angel is still here.

The promise is still valid.

And the way forward is still open—if you will obey.

Ruth, Rebekah, and Obedient Positioning

The Bible is full of people who stepped into destiny not because they had all the details, but because they had the right posture:

• Ruth followed Naomi in faith and waited in obedience. When the time came, Naomi told her: “Sit still, my daughter… the man will not rest until he has settled the matter.” (Ruth 3:18)

She was ready, and then she was still.

• Rebekah didn’t know she was watering camels as a prophetic answer to a servant’s private prayer. She responded with a servant-hearted obedience, and destiny found her at the well.

You don’t need to chase what God has prepared.

You need to align, obey, and trust the process.

God Will Open the Door. You Must Walk Through It.

He has sent divine help. The way is being made straight. But He will not force you into obedience. That part is still a choice.

• Will you go when He says go?

• Will you stop when He says 'wait'?

• Will you trust Him when the route looks unfamiliar?

• Will you release control when your mind craves certainty?

Make no mistake, you are the only one who can disqualify yourself from a destiny God designed for you.

Let This Be Your Surrender:

Abba Father, I trust the angel You have sent. I trust the place you have prepared.

I trust your voice above mine. I will not block myself with fear, doubt, or rebellion.

Lead, and I will follow. Speak, and I will obey. The promise still stands, and so do I.”

Don’t Let You Be the Reason You Miss It.

God has gone ahead of you.

Help is already assigned.

The ground is already marked.

The promise is still yes and amen.

The only thing that can stop you is you.
