Stop Striving! What God Has for You Cannot Be Taken

A moment has come in my walk with God when I realise:
You don’t have to strive for what’s already been set aside.
In a quiet moment of reflection, a phrase dropped into my spirit, simple but weighty:
Stop striving. What I have for you cannot be taken.
It was like a divine release. All the pressure to push, perform, or panic gave way to peace. And almost immediately, a familiar song came to mind:
“God has made a way where there seems to be no way.”
Sometimes, that’s all you need to remember.
A Story That Speaks
.
In 1 Samuel 9, we read about Saul, who was out searching for his father’s lost donkeys. He didn’t know it, but God had already gone ahead of him. The prophet Samuel had received a word from the Lord:
“About this time tomorrow, I will send you a man… anoint him ruler over My people.”
(1 Samuel 9:16)
When Saul finally arrived, Samuel took him to a special place, seated him at the head of the table, and said something that still echoes today:
“Bring the portion I gave you. It has been set aside for him.”
(1 Samuel 9:23-24)
That portion had been prepared in advance, reserved before Saul even knew he was being called.
The Truth for Us
This story reveals a deep spiritual principle:
When God appoints something for you, it’s yours, no striving, no competing, no fear of missing out.
God is not figuring things out as you go. He prepares, sets aside, and aligns. You don’t have to push your way in. You have to follow His lead.
For Those in the Waiting
If you’re in a season of uncertainty, waiting for direction, clarity, or breakthrough, let this truth settle in your soul:
You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are being led.
What is yours by divine assignment is already in place.
Your portion is set. Your seat is saved. Your name is known.
Prayer
Lord, I release the urge to strive. I trust you fully.
Thank you for preparing what you have for me is already prepared.
I choose to walk in faith, not fear.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Speak This Over Yourself:
“I will not strive for what is already mine.
I will not fear missing what has been set aside.
God has made a way and I will walk in it.”
This truth is a reminder for today and an anchor for tomorrow:
Striving ceases when trust begins.
What God has for you cannot be taken.
