Plant Goodness and Reap Joy

Not all joy is real joy. Solomon reminds us that laughter can be shallow, here today and gone tomorrow. Outward smiles and surface happiness can cover hidden sorrow, but they cannot heal the heart.
In today’s world of high-tech tools, it’s easy to polish our lives online. Snapchat filters can make us look flawless, and AI can generate words that sound wise or joyful. Yet at the end of the day, when the screens are off and the lights go out, we carry the truth of our hearts with us.
A cheerful heart, anchored in God, is what truly lasts.
You Harvest What You Plant
Proverbs 14:14 brings us to a principle woven throughout Scripture: the law of sowing and reaping.
No farmer plants mango seeds and expects oranges. The harvest always matches the seed. In the same way, when we sow kindness, we will reap blessings. When we sow faithfulness, we will reap peace. But if we sow bitterness, sadness, or harm into others, we can be sure that the harvest will come back to us sooner or later.
Every choice is a seed. The harvest is certain.
The Encouragement of the Faithful
Here’s the good news: “Good people receive their reward.” God is just. He sees, He remembers, and He rewards. Nothing planted in faith, obedience, or love is ever wasted.
As Galatians 6:9 reminds us:
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
If you are planting in faith right now, don’t lose heart. Your harvest is on the way.
.
Wisdom calls us to plant wisely. Don’t settle for shallow laughter or filtered appearances of happiness. Instead, ask God for a cheerful heart that endures, and trust Him with your harvest in this life and for eternity.
Remember today: Plant goodness, and reap joy.
May our Joy be everlasting and carry us through every storm of life in Jesus' name, Amen
