He Steadied My Steps

ree

Life often shakes the ground beneath our feet. One moment, everything feels steady; the next, it’s like the foundation crumbles beneath us. We stumble, feel uncertain, and fear creeps in.

But here’s what I have learned: I am sure-footed only because I look in the right place for help.

It’s not because I have all the answers or because life suddenly becomes easy. It’s because my eyes are fixed on the One who never fails.

The Psalmist reminds us, “He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber” (Psalm 121:3). This promise is worth holding onto. God is our steady ground. When we focus on Him, we stand firm, even when life shakes.

Where do you look by Default?

When trouble comes, it’s easy to focus on the problem, to fixate on the uncertainty or fear. But the more we look at the storm, the less stable we feel. The more we look at God, the steadier our steps become.

Our footing isn’t secured by circumstances. But by focusing.

God never promised a life without challenges, but He promised His presence, guidance, and strength. That’s where our sure footing comes from.

The Key to Staying Steady

• Look up: Begin each day seeking God’s presence.

• Stay rooted in His Word: Let His promises anchor your heart.

• Remember past faithfulness: Reflect on how He’s brought you through before.

• Surround yourself with believers: We weren’t meant to walk this journey alone.

A Simple Question for Today

Am I sure-footed?

If the answer is no, maybe it’s time to change your focus.

Stop looking at the chaos. Stop looking at your limitations.

Start looking to God, your unshakable foundation.

When your eyes are on Him, your feet will not be moved.
